These lightweight hand painted paper maché ornaments add a perfect dose of color and pattern to the festive season.

We have worked with a family in Kashmir, India since 2022 to create these intricate artifacts. The family has been practicing this art form for several generations.

Paper Maché is a popular craft in Kashmir. It is said this art was introduced to Kashmir in the 15th century by a Persian mystic. The patterns and colors used in this craft are heavily influenced by the bounty of nature that surrounds the Kashmir valley.
